Ok, I don't really know what to say about the party since Melissa pretty much covered it all, but it was totally awesome Andrew thanks so much for inviting us!
That card was so cool... though I didn't get to see much of the inside or anything... not that it matters.
And um, I have a confession to make that is gonna make some people pretty mad, so prepare yourselves.
I was one of the dirty double crossers who stole the flags.
I was kinda bored cuz all I was doing was running across the line, getitng put in jail etc. etc.
It was a lot of fun doing it but I would not have if I knew people were gonna be mad. And sorry to you guys who were just about to win... I think everybody knows you would've totally creamed us. I was wondering what you three were doing out there in the woods.
The hike was awesome... though Devisser's barbed wire doesn't like me. Actually it only gave me a little cut but it bled so much everyboyd (especially Sarah) thought i was like about to die or something, lol I should've like swooned... I would've gotten lot's of attention lol. Which I don't want.
The volleyball game was cool too, especially at the end when the thing actually started going over... after we stopped useing the rules, lol. Man that volleyball killed! I guess cuz it was wet.
Ok, I don't know what else to say, and I'm pretty sure as soon as I post it I'll think of something. :-)
Oh, btw, did anyone notice I actually used all my capital letters on this post?? lol I'm so proud of myself.

party time!
last week tuesday we put on a surprise party for ben and aaron, which i'm sure you all know, and it was a huge success, i think everybody had a lot of fun. though it was really tooo bad you couldn't make it andrew...
check liz and jess's blogs for pictures, since they posted on it already i will try and talk about the things they didn't mention.
the best game was probably the broken telephone charades, which was totally hilarious, and we have a very good copy on video if anybody wants it. i have to say tim and sarah you guys win that one for the best imitations. sarah's was just really good and tim's was sooooo funny!
there was also a banana game, which was alot of fun, especially watching people eat their banana's. :-) go katie!
adnt eh oddball mixer was awesome! that was a lot of fun... though it took forever to start.. thanks sarah for entertaining us with your cheeseburger song. :-)
and then balloon one, which was great but man you wouldn't believe how many balloons we had to blow up for that! (don't worry, we brushed our teeth beofre hand so nobody passed out popping them :-)
we had fun doing it though... man you know how hard it is to laugh when you're blowing up balloons... it usually end up coming out of your nose. lol which can be rather disastrous.
anyway back to the actual party.... thanks so much to everyone who put money into the gifts which were awesome if i do say so myself... and sorry we totally forgot about cake.
that's about it and i'll try to start posting a bit more regularly on here!

ok here is a poem THAT I DID NOT WRITE. (i wish) It is a song that i heard a very long time ago so i will try to remember it.
I felt sometimes i didn't have
a story I could share,
I wasn't rescued from a past,
destroyed by dark despair,
but with Jesus I have memories,
of the times that we've been through,
and I wouldn't trade on moment,
of growing up with You.
I came to love You early
came to know You young,
You touched my heart dear Jesus,
when my life had just begun,
I gave you my tomorrows,
and a childish heart of sin,
and You've saved me from a lifetime,
of what I might have been.
I remember how You touched me,
but I can't explain it all,
how a choice that's so important,
could be made by one so small
I'd just bring to You my questions,
and what You've said to do I've done,
and I think You for the blessings,
and coming to You young!
I came to love You early,
came to know You young,
You touched my heart, dear Jesus,
When my life had just begun,
I gave You my tomorrows,
and a childish heart of sin,
and You've saved me from a lifetime,
of what I might have been.
Yes You saved me from a lifetime,
of what I might have been.
I just think that's an awesome song, and so true!

mission
ok, i know i post way too many of these, but i just wrote another poem, and since i have nothing else to do with it i'm gonna post it.
A beautiful life, on the brink of despair,
drugs, sex, you name it, this guy’s been there
but if there’s no truth, no wrong and no right,
where is the hope? the point to his life?
so he leaves them a note, tears running through it,
says “sorry everybody, but I got to do this..”
------------------------------------------
and we could have shown him, erased his doubt,
there is hope in our Savior, and His grace reaches out!
------------------------------------------
But how will they know if nobody tells them?
of Jesus love, and the chance that He’s given
you have to get up out of your padded pew,
and pass on the blessing God’s given to you.
------------------------------------------
There was a little girl, in your neighborhood,
who could have changed the world, and yet she never would,
because of all those voices, saying “it’s your choice”
she never got to see the light or hear her mothers voice,
but instead she lays in pieces, just another victim,
of the awful cruelty, of our country’s “freedom”
----------------------------------------
But where were our voices through all the doubt?
Christ could have saved her, His grace reaches out!
---------------------------------------
But how will they know if nobody tells them?
of Jesus love, and the chance that He’s given
you have to get up out of your padded pew,
and pass on the blessing God’s given to you.

ta da!
ok everybody... i'm gonna post again!!
this weekend was a whole lot of fun! thanks so much all you bowmanvillers!i guess i'll start from the very beginning....
well, albert emailed at 2 and said he was gonna leave from egberts in about 15 minutes, but he'd still call, so we sat around waiting for hime until around 3 when he called to say that he was leaving, so we got on the road around 3:30. wasn't that interesting?? :-)
we had a good car ride, fighting over what music to listen to, driving around looking for a place that jeremy wanted to drop something off at but didn't even know what looked like...(we finally just gave that up) and stopping at wendy's for a frosty which i promptly dripped all over my pants. :-) anyway, we arrived at amanda's house at around 5, where everybody was getting worried that we would show up at all, and sat around for awhile talking, and went out and saw their horses. (!!!!!!!!!) until it was time to go to their church's talent night. sarah and james showed off their amazing skills at making airplanes, LOL... sorry james but sarah creamed you! sarah, did you even know he was gonna put them on the tables at the school? that was funny!
as i was saying... the talent night was very good, and afterwards we all went over to melissa's place to watch napoleon dynamite, which by the way is like a very stupid movie.... :-) sorry to all you people who are like in love with it... it does have some moderately funny parts i will admit under great pressure. but it was very annoying to hear everybody quote it 24/7...:-) i forgive you guys.
of course i had to spill root beer all over my pants too... i was having a bit of a bad day. :-)
then all the guys and amanda left for her house around midnight, and the rest of us went downstairs and talked, or in my case sat around like a zombie, and then went to bed a little too late...:-)
next morning we had a very good breakfast, (thanks mrs. zegers!) which apperntly we didn't eat enough of, and then after a little more sitting around went over to amanda's, where we watched raise your voice, (good movie!!) while the boys shopped and kept calling for no particular reason, and then of course came back right at the best part and made so much noise we couldn't hear it. :-)
then we had lunch, and went outside to do some target shooting, (cool!) and of course loked at the horses again...:-) after which we went to melissa's, picked up the skates, and went skating for an hour! that was awesome. and the rided back was awesome too, we rode in the back of mr. zegers construction van, cuz he'd picked up the van. a little hard to keep your balance!
well, everybody went to melissa's after that, and we sat downstairs and watched jer and albert play a very interesting/amusing game of pool, and then care and i played the worlds most pathetic game of pool... i knew i was bad but wow! and then beth and i played a game of ping pong over the pool table, which kinda turned into a contest to see who could bounce the ping pong ball of their paddle the longest... lol rebecca won, but they were all waaay ahead of me.
after that we had some hamburgers, which were really good.... can't beat bbq... makes me think of summer...
beth rebecca and care left pretty early, after we were looking up directions, and ended up loking up all of our houses/churches/schools on satellite... lol then the rest of us watched the beginning of a pathetic hockey game, and part of gone fishing, which i totally didn't understand, since we were all talking through it anyway.
then we went home! and crashed! and tried to stay awake in church the next day! thankfully my dad has very good sermons, lol!
well, that's the end of my very very long post.... thanks everybody for a great weekend!

snow valley!!
ok, i guess i should post on yesterday, the long awaited snow valley, now over. annoying how things have such a way of being over eh?
but it was an awesome day!
after waiting in line twice for my blue stripe, (yeah, i did bad the first time) i got it, and hit the slopes!
the terrain park and the 4-man lift weren't open for a while, so that was too bad, but they did re-open, and i did a rail! i was so proud of myself, even though it was only like a little-baby rail. i didn't do the half pipe, cuz apparently it was really icy.
hmm.. what else is there to say... i skiied with like a whole bunch of different people, which was cool...
oh, and you guys is till don't know what i tabletop is... i think it's my fate...
but it was an awesome day!

the big dissapointment for me was missing like all but the last bit of the t-shirt runs, since i somehow lost you guys right before we were gonna do it, and then couldn't find you again. but thank you for doing one more when we found eachother!! that was awesome!! and i hope you arm chin and knees are doing better now melissa!
oh, and btw people, never put your lift tickt on your mitten, i did and i lost it twice, and the second time for good. nobody noticed i didn't have it though, so that was good.hmm.. what else is there to say... i skiied with like a whole bunch of different people, which was cool...

afterwards most of us went to the kiezebrinks for supper, which was really nice except mr. kiezebrink had to make a little comment in front of everybody about me and face plants... :-$
we ate, watc.hed finding nemo/slept, and then went outside to finishing the snowball fight we started on the 12th. a little more even this time!! but of course we still creamed the guys.
then we went home, and crashed, and that's about. all there is to say!
i would start a countdown to next year but that might take awhile.

posting...
hey everybody, i think it's time to post again. my life right now is not very interesting because melissa is gone,
:-( so there's not a whole lot of blogging going on... and today i was going to go down to bowmanville with albert jess and liz and everyboyd else who is there, but alberts car broke down so it didn't work. :-( i hope you guys have tons of fun! and i hope your car gets "better" soon albert!
hmm.. what is up with me... well last night we had a father daughter night with our ks group, so that was cool... we were supposed to come matching or co-ordinated, and we had quite a tough time with that. Dad wasn't too exited about dying his hair red so we just ended up white shirts, jeans, and red carnations in our hair/onn his shirt. we played lots of games, like smarties pictionary where each couple would have a bag of smarties and one of them would have to make a picture with them and the other guess, and the first couple who guessed it won. that was fun. then we had to have a race eating them all, which all the smart people chickened out on.
:-) i don't want to eat another smartie for a loooong time!
anyway, we played some more games, and got pictures taken, right after i spilled coffee all over my shirt, and had a great time. anyway...
ONLY 1 WEEK AND 6 DAYS UNTIL SNOW VALLEY!!!
it's gonna be awesome... especially since like everybody is gonna be there...
i'm starting to have second thoughts about that rail melissa, i have never done one in my life, and last time was the only time i even did a jump! so you ahve to at least let me practice a couple of times. without anyone watching. :-)
so what has everybody been doing lately?
here are a couple interesting questions:
Why do you have to "put your two cents in"...but it's only a "penny for your thoughts?" Where's that extra penny going to?
How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out!"
Or watch a white thing come out a chicken behind and think, "that ought to taste good."
Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?
If the professor on Gilligan's island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?
Is Disneyland the only people trap operated by a mouse?
Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
Did you just try singing the two songs above?
Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?
have a great day everyone!

Gentle Giants
The Whale Shark
Someday I want to swim with one of these...
Worlds biggest fish, but it eats only plankton and small fish!
Isn't it huge???
Some think it was the big fish that swallowed Jonah... interesting...
Anyway, just thought they were cool pics....
Here is the pic of it's man-eating mouth.
ok, here's the not-so-man-eating one.

The family ski trip-- from a chicken soup book.
Maybe I’ve been spending too much time watching the x-files or something, but I’m trying to think how I would describe skiing to extraterrestrials.
Aliens: Take us t your leader.
Me: Can’t right now, we’re going skiing.
Aliens: what is skiing?
Me: well, first you go to the top of this really, really high mountain that’s covered with this cold, slippery stuff called snow. The you strap these skinny little sticks on your feet, and try to go straight down in a standing position without killing yourself. And if you survive, you stand in a long line for the opportunity to do it again.
Aliens: Goodbye.
Me: where are you going?
Aliens. In search of intelligent life.
It was crowded in the rental shop. Plus, with the temperature only twenty degrees outside, everyone was dressed like the Pillsbury Dough Boy—only in shades of mauve and lime green.
“Maybe we should have rented equipment back in town,” my wife suggested.
“No way,” I said. “Remember last time? they gave me two left ski’s and two right boots. All day long I kept running into myself. Besides, now that I’m more experienced, I need more sophisticated stuff.”
“You and I never got off the bunny slope,” she said. “The kids were the only ones who advanced.”
“Well sure, but with better equipment I’ll be skiing circles around everyone out there.”
“That’s what I’m afraid of.” she said.
A young man approached us, wearing a ski hat pulled down to his eyebrows.
“Are you like into radical carving or do you get off by just dropping in and tucking?”
I hesitated.
“He kinda ski’s all over the place,” my wife told him.
“Oh, right, vary the terrain, challenge the brain. Cool. Got just the right set-up for you.”
He handed me a set of ski’s that looked like they might have been made by NASA.
“Progressive force bindings with environmental friction control, and ultra-fast racing skis with deep side cuts and a beta torsion core. You’ll fly with these babies.”
He turned to my wife. She glanced at me and my new racing outfit. “I just want something for the other parent who can’t afford to be out of work on crutches for 6 weeks,” she told him.
To me, the worst part of skiing is getting from the ski lodge to the chairs. There’s always a slope, and it’s always slippery. Usually, after 30 minutes or so, I find I have actually lost ground and am now standing in the parking lot.
Apparently, the 1200 dollar skis helped, because in just minutes, we safely made it to the bunny slope and got in line with all the other 5-year olds.
That’s when the rest of the family came barreling up, skidding to a stop right in front of us. I watched them for a second, smiled, then immediately fell down, taking the entire waiting line with me.
“Wow. Cool skis,” Jon said. “But this is the wrong lift, You want that lift over there.”
I followed the path of the chair lift up the mountain until it became a speck that disappeared into the thick clouds.
“You’re not… scared, are you?” asked Patrick.
“Of course not. it’s just that these skis may not be fast enough to ski up there on…”
“Black Death Run.”
"Right, Black Death Run."
My wife opted for coffee instead of sheer terror, leaving me as parent-in-charge.
Next thing I knew, we were standing somewhere that even mountain goats wouldn’t go.
I immediately issued a warning to the others.
“Don’t get to close to the edge of that cliff,” I shouted. “follow me.”
“This isn’t a cliff,” Christy said. “this is the trail. The cliff is over there somewhere…Dude?”
I’ve often wondered what my last words would be. I figured maybe something like “I did it for God and country,” or “I’m sorry I have but one life to give.”
As it turns out my last words contain only vowels, as in,
“Yiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeooooooooooooooooooo..”
I’m not exactly sure what happened over the next few minutes. I remember a lot of white, some muted voices, and being poked by a number of sharp objects all over my body. Fox Mulder of the x-files would have called it an alien abduction. Maybe it was. Of course, why the aliens rolled me up like a giant snowball and dropped me off at the foot of the mountain I’ll never know.
But everyone seemed happy to see me, including the rental shop guy, who quickly removed my progressive force bindings and ultra-fast racing skis, and returned to his shop muttering something about hot-shot adults and why couldn’t they be more sensible---like teenagers.
The rest of my family arrived just as my wife handed me a cup of something that looked like coffee, but tasted like brandy.“Thanks, dear,” I said. “and you’ll be happy to know I’ve given up skiing.”
“we are too,” said Stacey.
“Really?” my wife asked.
“Yup,” added Shane. “tomorrow, we’re all going snowboarding.”
I sighed, pulled a pinecone out of my era, and downed the entire contents of the cup.

blut mountain!!
ok... where to start??
well, sunday evening melissa, jeremy, jeff and i went to the kiezebrinks. the guys and yvonne went to yp's and us girls just hung out for a while talking, taking pictures, breaking doors-oops, i wasn't gonna say that... and walking outside. then the others came home and we all went to bed and talked until way too late... and fried.bright and early monday morning we left for blue mountain!!!
it was awesome.... it had snowed quite a bit the night before, so there was lots of powder, which was very cool, but especially in the early afternoon the weather was pretty brutal, and you couldn't see much.
we were all very dissapionted when we checked for andrew and tim the second time, and found out their car broke down and they couldn't make it. we missed you guys!! i hope your day was good anyway!?!it was really nice skiing except the snow guns were blasting away, and since melissa and i were only wearing sunglasses at the beginning, we totaly couldn't see in some spots!
i'm afraid i have to say that yesterday was the worst i have skiied in my entire life!! i think i ended up dive bombing parts of like 75% of the hills!
for the last 3 or 4 years i have bladed, and so when all of the sudden you have like 2 feet stuck on your legs.. (no pun intended) it's alot harder to control them cuz they always cross.which explains why on my 3rd or 4th run, i somersaulted halfway down the hill, lost my ski's, got a lip the size of a ping pong ball, broke my tooth right in half, and my cheek is really scraped up/swollen under the eye, as well as like 100 other scrapes all over my face. so needless to say, i looked like freak yesterday, and still do now, though not quite as bad. thankfully janelle had a scarf i could wrap around my face, and since my sunglasses broke and i couldn't see a thing going down the hill, jeff bought a pair of goggles and gave me the ones he was borrowing from yvonne, which was awesome. thank you jeff! when we went for lunch melissa, janelle and i had to like walk all the way to the other side to get our lunch out of the van... that wasn't very cool! but we took the shuttle back so that was better, then we all went over to the black diamond hills, which was cool especially the glades, which had like a foot of powder! we got some awesome pics of people jumping, which hopefully yvonne will post, right yvonne?? :-) btw, the lifts there are awesome! they are like 4 times as fast as snow valley, but it takes like just as long becuase the hills are like 4 times as long!! the black diamond one was the best, it didn't even slow down at the end! at 4:30, 6 exausted, frozen, happy people drove back to kiezebrinks, where i was very happy to learn that catechism had been cancelled because of the bad weather, so i was staying another night, seeing as i really did not feel like showing up there looking like frankenstiena. so we had supper, which for me was yogurt, :-) cuz my tooth was so sensitive, then sat around and vegged while jer tried to decide whether or not to drive home, and eventually made a "decide" to stay since the roads were not looking so good. so we watched a movie then went to bed, and i came home with zegers this morning. i never did see that tabletop...:-)and we missed "Story time" ... but all together it was an awesome day and i can't wait til march!!

Empty
I have been filled,
100 times beforebut there's a hole in the bottom
and i'm always wanting more,
no matter what I do,
no matter what I try,
nothing ever works,my well is running dry.
I'm feeling empty,
nothing all around the world
can fill me,
I need a drink of living water,
need the sight He gave the blind,
I feel like all I've ever loved,
is leaving me behind.
I search around
I live my life for pleasure,
I've filled my hands,
with all my worldly treasures.
They hurt, destroy me,
they'll kill me I know,
but try as I might,
I cannot let them go.
I need to be empty,
otherwise His love could never
fill me,
He's holding out His living water,
and the sight He gave the blind,
all I need to be is empty,
and I'm running out of time.
I was so full of sin,
I had no room for Jesus,
but when I let Him in,
He made me empty
He gave me white,
and took my black,
bore all my stripes,
apon His back
and now my bill,
reads "paid in full"
I held my hands out, Empty,
and He filled my heart,
with love.
this is a poem i wrote last night, it kinda needs music... but i'm not very good at that. Anybody??

Gluttony's revenge.
ok, everybody, under great pressure, i am going to post a poem i wrote a very very looong time ago.
emphasis on long.
it is a rather weird poem, and a touch on the gross side, but people seemed to find it funny.
i know i did!
just so i don't get a reputation, this kind of poem is very out of character for me, such a sweet, gentle, and all together just about perfect person.
emphasis on just about.
here it is!
gluttony's revenge.
the bread on the table was very old,
it was mostly covered with disgusting mold,
the rats came in three by three,
and attacked the bread mightily,
beside the bread lay an old rotten bean,
more rotten and gross than anyone’s seen,
mold on this bean had also grown,
but the rats didn’t care, this been was their own,
the rats now had food, at last, at last!
the place was quiet and nobody passed,
but because of their gluttony and because of the chill,
the rats soon lay down and forever grew still.
8-$
there is a moral to this tear-jerking story... um... don't eat too much, especially not moldy stuff, or you might die.
and don't hang out with rats.

I luv my friends!
A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often - just to save it from drying out completely. --- Pam Brown

Don't walk behind me because I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend. --- Albert Camus

the facts...
SINCE EVERYONE KEEPS ASKING...
REASONS WHY I AM CALLED CHIP:
1) I am a "chip" off the old block :-)
2) It rhymes with dip!
CHIP DIP- hahahahahaha.. snort
3)It's short for chipmunk! (that helps doesn't it?)
REASONS WHY I AM CALLED CHIPMUNK:
1) I chatter incessantly,
2) I like to *ahem* stuff my face... hehe...*embarrassed*
3) I have the Luimes cheeks...hehe...*embarrassed again...*
4) I hang out with a bunch of nuts!
5) I am a nut...
6) Chipmunks are cute! (no, no, that doesn't mean anything...)
AND NOW YOU KNOW!
Have a great day!

Words of Wisdom.
These are some deep thoughts from Jack Handey.. Enjoy!
If you ever crawl inside an old hollow log and go to sleep, and while you're in there some guys come and seal up both ends and then put it on a truck and take it to another city, boy, I don't know what to tell you.
+++++++++++++++
Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that, I'll be over here, looking through your stuff.
+++++++++++++++
If you're a cowboy and you're dragging a guy behind your horse, I bet it would really make you mad if you looked back and the guy was reading a magazine.
+++++++++++++++
Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don't know what your rights are, or who the person is you're talking to. Then on the way out, slam the door.
+++++++++++++++
For mad scientists who keep brains in jars, here's a tip: why not add a slice of lemon to each jar, for freshness?+++++++++++++++
When I found the skull in the woods, the first thing I did was call the police. But then I got curious about it. I picked it up, and started wondering who this person was, and why he had deer horns.
+++++++++++++++
As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.
+++++++++++++++
Maybe in order to understand mankind we have to look at that word itself. MANKIND. Basically, it's made up of two separate words "mank" and "ind." What do these words mean? It's a mystery and that's why so is mankind
+++++++++++++++
Instead of having "answers" on a math test, they should just call them "impressions," and if you got a different "impression," so what, can't we all be brothers?
+++++++++++++++
Somebody told me how frightening it was how much topsoil we are losing each year, but I told that story around the campfire and nobody got scared.
+++++++++++++++
If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.
+++++++++++++++
If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let'em go, because, man, they're gone

I wonder...
Merry Christmas everyone!
Here's another poem i wrote... it's kinda long, but a fast enough read.
Enjoy your day!
Today is Christmas day,
and a story comes to mind,
how God turned man came down to earth,
to rescue all mankind.
I wonder how it would’ve been
for a girl to become a mother,
to give birth to the Son of God,
with just a stable for cover.
and how did Joseph feel,
to be like a father to the One,
who came to save and set us free,
to make His eternal sons.
Shepherds sitting with their sheep,
on the dusty ground,
what was it like to see that light?
to hear that heavenly sound?
And wise men from the east,
why did they come so far?
how did it feel to see the Child,
or to chase that shining star?
and what a bunch of hypocrites,
who had memorized The Book,
who talk the wise men where to go,
and didn’t take a look!
Wicked, wicked Herod,
did you think you would succeed?
Does God not know your jealous heart?
your selfishness and greed?
And what if I had lived those days,
how would I have been?
Would I rejoice to see my Lord?
Fall down and worship Him?
Or would I go about my work,
like every other day,
not care that Jesus Christ was born,
to show the world the way!
But wait, what difference does it make?
if I live now, not in B.C.
Christ’s message is the same right now,
for all eternity!
My life right now, it matters,
My life right now, it matters,
what I think and do and say,
I can worship Christ and spread the news,
or I can just go on my way.
Lord help me to live my life for You,
to love You for all of my days,
help me to know You, to show you to others,
filling my life with your praise!

It's Christmas time!
The wind is blowing,
The snow is snowing,The fire is glowing,
The lawnmower is mowing,
the excitment is growing,
and everyone's going
with hearts full of cheer
to those far and near,
and everyone dear,
the stars are so clear,
and Frosty is here,
cuz it's that time of the year!

Our Recital!
Ok, first a bit of background people... this was not an ordinary recital in the slightest. Allow me to explain...
*Ahem* I take lessons from a girl who is part of a group of about 23 people who are called The Forget-Me-Nots. Most of this group sings together, and plays bluegrass gospel. Their singing is mainly Austrian singing, as that is where they came from, and they want to preserve their heritage. The amazing thing is, they all live in one big beautiful house! They are some of the most friendly, sincere, awesome people i know.
Ok, picture this: It's snowing like crazy, and in the middle of it is this big beautiful house, all lit up for christmas, and inside full of christmas decorations, a roaring fire, lots of candles, and the whole mood is kind of festive, lots of reds and browns, and a big wooden staircase. Very cosy. You go into a big room with lots of flowers, china, a big long couch, one gorgeuos christmas tree, all lit up, piles of chairs, all squished together, and in the middle is a baby grand piano! (man it was squished! Liz, Mir and i all got standing room.:-)
The lights go dim... except one in the front, and a whole bunch of little kids from their school come in, all wearing adorable white outfits, with silver bands around their fofheads, and sing Silent Night, in adorable off-tune voices. and then everyone else did their pieces, ending with the kindergarteners doing a 'pioneer christmas'.
Then whatever Forget-me-nots are home came and sang an Austrian slow yodel, with all the lights off except or the christmas tree, and we all ended with silent night.
Then everybody filed into the kitchen to pig out on the piles of goodies they had set up, after Miriam and I went outside to get some air. It was so hot in there! Then Miriam, Chris, Lizzie and I all sat in the other livingroom by the fire and talked, until Danny, who is basically the lead singer in their bluegrass gospel group, came and talked to us about how he is playing guitar on a cd from a famous country singer that is coming out, and how they did it and everything, which was very interesting. We're with the big time here!
Anyways, It's kind of our little tradition for them to play for us at the end, so I asked Rachel, who is Lizzie's violin teacher, to come and sing one of my favourite songs, with Danny playing his amazing guitar, and slowly out came the enormous double bass, with Rachel's Dad playing it, the auto harp and violin with my piano teacher, Annie playing them, and Marks guitar teacher Ingrid sang, and WOW!!!!!!! They sang songs until like 11:00, standing in front of the fireplace... songs that make you laugh, songs that make you cry, and every song inbetween! It was so fun though, cuz people sang along, and mark even tried guitar on one that they needed another guitar for, and he went way too slow, so He started singing like a broken record, and it was so funny! then Rachel and Annie tried, but Rachel didn't know the chords, and Annie didn't know how to strum, so they both played at the same time, and we all laughed so hard... it didn't work very well!
The Forget-me-nots are a really good group, they sound good in concert, they sound good on cd, but there is nothing like sitting in the livingroom in front of the fire and hearing them live! And what makes it so extra special is that we know them, and they love us, they are commited Christians in kind of their own way, and they are so fun to be around! He's like "yeah, if you ever need inspiration, or you just want to jam, just give me a call! that's what i'm here for!"
Anyways, that's the end of my very long post, and now you know why i said it was amazing!
We missed you Jessi and Jay!

Abortion-the heart of the matter
Hey, i'm finally posting again...
this might be a bit long, sorry, but i thought i should put something serious on here!
Abortion- the unheard of sin 50 years ago, commonplace option today. Is it really nothing more than a choice? Is it really needed? and most importantly, is it right?keep reading…
Abortion advocates of today claim that woman have a choice, that it’s really just part of her body, so if she wants to “abort” the making of another human life, that’s her business. Does this hold water? I’m afraid not. When a child is aborted by vacuum suction, the abortionist or their assistant must go through the pieces afterward and make sure that there is a head, a torso, two arms, and two legs. What mother, let me ask, has two heads, two torsos, four arms, and four legs?If the mother is allowed to cruelly sucks the brains out of her unborn human being, why shouldn’t she be allowed to stab him in the back when he’s a teenager? after all, he’s just a part of her that happened to fall out, have a character and a soul, and a will of his own!And really, if we’re talking about choices, why isn’t the mother allowed to commit suicide? why aren’t we all? And what about the child? who asked him if he wanted to die? Why isn’t he allowed a choice?
But what if abortion is needed? after all, the biggest problem right now is that population of the world has exceeded 6 billion, and we’re running out of space! Right? Wrong. The greater development issue in many countries is the generation gap, with the amount of people over 65 growing by 800,000 a month! And since there is such a gap, the government will have to get a bigger budget for healthcare, live in institutions and other support systems for the aged, as well as the fact that the working population is getting smaller! The population of the world has indeed increased, but by no means are we running out of space. There are 148,940,000 square kilometers of land area in the world, and 6.45 billion people.
“If only total land area is considered, the average global density is 40.3 people per square kilometer. However not all land is equally suitable for human habitation. The land surface can be divided into different types:
land which is permanently covered in snow or ice - 20%Mountains - 20%Desert - 20%Land without topsoil e.g. bare rock - 10%Arable land (land which can be farmed) - 30%
Using only arable land, the average population density is 134.4 people per square kilometer. Although this appears to be a large number, a crowded beach is estimated to be 250,000 - 300,000 people per square kilometer.” (taken from nationmaster.com)Besides, if population is a problem why don’t we legalize all the other types of murder as well, that would sure take it down!
The heart of the matter is that abortion is wrong, no matter how crowded the world is, no matter how badly the mothers life is messed up, because that’s not an excuse either, if she really can’t handle a child, she can put the baby up for adoption! There are many people hoping, waiting for children, while at the same time hundreds are being thrown in garbage bags every day!
“If people worried a little more about their unborn children-- at least, to the extent of providing a proper heritage, physically, mentally, and morally, for them—and then stopped worrying about them after they are born, this world would be a very much pleasanter place to live in, and the human race would make more progress in a generation than it has done in recorded history.”(Lucy Maud Montgomery in Kilmeny of the orchard.)
Abortion stops a beating heart, and that is murder and nothing less!Terrorists have killed a little over 3000 americans since 1990, abortionists have killed 4000 americans since yesterday! But what can we do about it? Let’s make the world aware of what they’re doing! You could attend a life chain, write your representative, support a pregnancy clinic, and many more things that show that you care for the unborn children, the welfare of our country, and above all, the glory of our God.

posting!
hello everyone... i'm finally posting again. sorry it took me so long, i've had a very busy week. tuesday the whole older group came over, and we had a great time trying to think of different ideas for our next year end program. we did come up with some good ones, and sooner or later the moms are going to get together and decide.
then on thursday we all went skating, and the aunt elsa's family came over afterwards for piano lessons. rebecca & carolyn came too for discussion class, so the five of us had a great time hangin out. then it was discussion class, and since i'm not allowed in it, jacob stayed and we hung out in my room playing games and eating. it was so funny, the class was watching a video on calvinism, so we thought we'd wait until the movie was on, and then go make some popcorn, so they wouldn't hear us. well... we were wrong. it was so loud, and the whole house was like stinking, and everybody downstairs was tryng not to laugh. oh well, it was good popcorn! (extra butter!) then the next day i spent at miriams, just fooling around and talking, until that evening their whole family plus me went to amy and andrews and then mir and i stayed overnight, and then babysat the next morning. mom and dad came halfway through babysitting and picked me up and then we went to aunt rachel and uncle maurices to see their brand new baby boy james theodore. what a cutie! and so tiny! then the rest of the day i was a grump, and everybody was annoyed with me, especially mark cuz i kept shooting him with my headband.
then today was a nice restfull sunday which i spent at aunt elsa's doing stuff with jacob cuz jess was gone.
ok, don't ask me why i keep going on and on, i'm just in the mood i guess. oh and btw, thank you everybody so much for getting me over 100 comments over there...especially melissa and andrew! that was funny, i wish i was on... alright, i'll stop blabbering and go look at everyone else's blogs!

at it again...
that's right... another poem... i know i know, too many poems, but this will be the last one for a long time ok?
i wish for a place
close by You without changing me
i want to be nearer without losing space,
i search for that safe inbetween.
sometimes it's so tempting,
to be like the world, try to fit.
to just have my own way in things,
and worship when i think of it.
though Your ways could never,
fit in my hands,
i think i'm too clever,
to fit in Your plan.
but what am i without You?
a blade of grass blown in the breeze.
help me to learn, to live, to be made new,
and especially Lord, help me fall on my knees!
because
i want them to know,
that You are my Savior,
Lord help me to show,
so that they can see,
help me to grow,
in praising you ever,
showing the wonders that You've done with me.

some rambling...
this is so sad, i have like nothing to post except for poems and horse pictures! and i'm sure you're getting sick of that.... i could do something on the history of thoroughbreds, or the qualities of arabians, but somehow i don't think that would get very many comments.... there is a gorgeous sunset right now, lots of clouds across the sky against a light pinky peach background... we get awesome sunsets from our house.
ok, whoever reads this post.... what was the best part of your day? mine was probably the satisfaction of getting almost two days worthof school done though it took me til like 5... still a good feeling though.
i just asked my little brother what his was and he said making lego. it's hi favorite thing to do. that and playing with cards on any ole gameboard or whatever he can get his hands on.he loves to play dominoes, then drive his cars around on them. :-D
i'm afraid my life right now is not very interesting....now that the party's over. the next exciting thing is probably skiing, unless we have christmas stuff before that. i'm like really really looking forward to it this year, don't know why. i wanted to try snowboarding again, but i was told to give it at least a year. :-( oh well.
well, i was just going to post this, but the phone rang and disconnected the internet, so i'll see if i can think of something interesting to write. sorry for the boring blog everyone, i'm just not very creative.
mark is curently walking down the staris in his rollerblades... wow, that's impressive i must say, i can't even walk down stairs safely without them!
can you believe it's already like almost winter? wow, where did the time go! i'm looking forward to christmas though, i wish i actually had some money so i could get more presents for people.... but yeah. i need a job. (at a horse farm. :-) i wish)
i'm afraid if i keep going on and on so very randomly this post is going to get very very boring. i'm also afraid it is already. but mom is still on the phone and i don't feel like just sitting here waiting for her.
there is something soothing about typing i find, after a busy day it's just so nice to slouch in front of the computer and type endlessly.... though it might not be so wonderful for the people who have to read what i type....
well, i hope you moderatly enjoyed reading my rando thoughts about everything, and have a wonderful day!
i'll go play freecell until i can publish this.... :-)

i just asked my little brother what his was and he said making lego. it's hi favorite thing to do. that and playing with cards on any ole gameboard or whatever he can get his hands on.he loves to play dominoes, then drive his cars around on them. :-D
i'm afraid my life right now is not very interesting....now that the party's over. the next exciting thing is probably skiing, unless we have christmas stuff before that. i'm like really really looking forward to it this year, don't know why. i wanted to try snowboarding again, but i was told to give it at least a year.

another poem...
hey, here's another poem i wrote, it's my first time trying free verse, and i'm not sure it's that great but liz and mom said it was good, so read it if you want to!
what is love?
heart
stopping
stomach
dropping
easy come
easy go
fall in
fall out
non commital
hormones?
or
horsey rides
on daddy's knees
lots of laughter
always here for you
a smile worth
a thousand words
wonder why
things sometimes
are so
superficial
i always know
when love seems gone
there is One
giving life
giving hope
loving.

so sad...
ok, i really need to post, but i really don't know what to post, and neither of my pictures things are working....
i guess i'll just ramble. umm... today was soccer, and it rained on the way there, and on the way back, but not while we were playing, which was cool, except the ground was rather slippery, and that can be embarrasing, if you know what i mean. especially when it's like open goal, you got the ball, you kick and your foot slides right off and the ball goes spinning sideways. only that was last week. this week i actually got the second goal ever in like my whole life, and i'm pretty proud of it! not that i actually played well, i was just behind everyone and the ball got popped out of their huddle/fight/thingy so i kicked it in. we had some pretty interesting flips and dominoes and watnot cuz of the slippery ground. somehow it always seemed to be a girl and a guy, don't ask me why. maybe these guys are just clumsy..... or maybe these girls are just clumsy... whatever.
there i actually posted!! not an interesting post... but hey, we're getting there......
